Bookkeeping

Your accounting department, without the payroll

Ever feel like you are being bogged down by never-ending paperwork? The statements just keep coming in and piling up. Maybe you are not at the stage where you have an accounting department yet — that is where I come in.

Four engagement levels

Pick the cadence that fits your business and your budget

CGK Accounting Services can act as your accounting department, your controller, or even your CFO. Several options are available to suit your needs.

Weekly onsite

The most hands-on option. Regular visits to your office to pay invoices, process payroll, track accounts receivable, maintain your checkbook balance, enter data and reconcile your financial records. Best for businesses that need daily financial help and want maximum freedom to focus on operations.

Best for: higher transaction volume, active payroll, offices that need a regular on-site presence.

Monthly

A perfect solution for businesses that write their own checks and make their own deposits. If you cannot always keep an accurate daily checkbook balance — or there is not always plenty of extra cash in the bank — you risk overdrawing, unnecessary bank fees and returned checks. Your checkbook and cash accounts get reconciled and corrected every month.

Best for: owners who want peace of mind that cash is accounted for and the checkbook is accurate.

Quarterly — most popular

Quarterly bookkeeping is the most popular option and satisfies the needs of most businesses with quarterly regulatory filings. Ideal if you need quarterly payroll tax returns prepared or sales tax returns filed, and it keeps your financial records current for tax planning.

Best for: businesses with quarterly payroll tax or sales tax obligations.

Annual

The most affordable option, available to smaller businesses with a limited number of transactions during the year. If you do not write many checks and make only a few deposits, this produces a complete set of financial records so your annual business tax return can be prepared properly.

Best for: low-volume businesses and side businesses.

Always included

You always get a complete set of books

As part of every engagement, a complete set of books is provided to you for your records — electronically or in hardcopy, whichever you prefer. Your records belong to you.
